Hi girls,

I thought it would be a good idea to choose a theme for the festival this year to give it some unity. I'd also be interesting to see how different cultures approach the same topic.

How about friendship? Is it too general? Maybe friendship across cultures would be more appropriate. It's just a suggestion. What do you think?

We can then post a message to LwC to invite more teachers to join in.

We are preparing an introductory activity with Jesica. The idea is to show students some of the movies their classmates made last year and have them analyze them in terms of characters, setting, plot, etc. Each student or pair writes a review about one of the movies on their class blog for the rest of the class to read.

Last year we set up a similar activity and it worked very well.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hugs,

As we will be working with students from different countries, I think it would be a good idea to work on Teens life in each country. They can include typical food, music, free time activities, etc. It will be very motivating for them to learn about diverse cultures, don't you think so?

Hi Carla and Jessica,

I think teens life is a good topic. I am going to try to give it some thought over the weekend and I will let you know about it if I have any idea for a topic that would cater on cultural diversity.
By the way, thanks a lot for inviting me and my studens to participate on this project.
Cheers
José Antonio

Welcome José Antonio!
It's a pleasure to have you with us. I'm sure we'll have lots of fun together. What level are you teaching this year?

I also like Jesica's idea. Last year we carried out a blog exchange with some groups from CTJ and they prepared a wonderful presentation about teen's life in Brazil.
Hope to hear more from you.
Regards,
Carla
